We’re always excited to hear success stories about our nozzles at Warthog. Rusty Nezat, the owner of Nezat Training and Consulting, Inc., recently reached out with his success story on training sewer cleaning operators in grease removal with the Warthog Switcher. Nezat Training and Consulting, Inc. is an independent provider specializing in offering training and consulting services to the wastewater collection industry. With over 30 years of personal experience in the field, Rusty has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to cleaning sanitary sewer lines.

Rusty found himself on a job site with sewer cleaning operators tasked with removing grease from a sewer line. “Upon my arrival at the jobsite, we were immediately faced with a sanitary sewer line heavily impacted with grease. Looking at their current nozzle selection, I knew why they were having great difficulty cleaning the grease out of the pipe in question. Fortunately, I had brought a nozzle with me for training purposes, a Warthog Switcher with ratings of 80 GPM at 2000 psi,” said Rusty.

As the Switcher was doing what it does best, Rusty noticed operators leaving the TV van in shock. “I trotted down there and inquired as to what the problem was. The problem was, they were stunned by what they saw through the camera. The Warthog was removing all the grease material from the sidewalls of the pipe in one pass! They never thought that was possible,” said Rusty. By utilizing Rusty’s instructions for the Switcher, operators opened the line back to its full capacity within just 15 minutes of starting the cleaning process, using less than one tank of water.

Rusty’s full job report:

“We were informed of a problem line, a 12-inch sanitary sewer line servicing the food court of a local mall. There had recently been an SSO at that location whereby the cleaning crew spent ten (10) hours working before finally relieving the blockage and partially opening the pipe which was heavily impacted with grease. Upon arrival the CCTV camera unit was inserted, and the lines segment was reviewed. The sewer line was still heavily impacted with grease. The crew attached the [Warthog Switcher] and received instruction on its use. The line was opened back to its full capacity within 15 minutes of starting the cleaning process, using less than one tank of water.”

At Warthog, we’re proud to offer nozzles and accessories that can make such a drastic difference in the field. We’re also grateful to have industry consultants like Rusty who are willing to share their experiences and help others improve their sanitation processes. We look forward to continuing serving the industry with world-class nozzles to help them achieve maximum efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness on the job.
